Expanding International Networks, Four Civil Engineering Students from Universitas Kadiri Join the Inbound Mobility Program at UTHM Malaysia
Kadiri Univerasity has once again reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the internationalization of higher education through strategic collaborations with partner universities around the world. Four undergraduate students from the Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Kadiri University, were selected to participate in the Inbound Mobility Program organized by the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Built Environment at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM).
The international mobility program will take place over one semester, from March 16 to July 19, 2026, and will be conducted in person at the UTHM campus in Malaysia. During the program, the students will gain valuable academic experience through lectures, laboratory sessions, and field-based learning activities alongside international students.
A Concrete Implementation of International Cooperation
The participation of Universitas Kadiri students in this program is a follow-up to the academic cooperation established between Kadiri University and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. On November 5, 2025, UTHM officially offered Civil Engineering students from Kadiri University the opportunity to participate in the academic mobility program as part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions.
The program represents a tangible form of international collaboration aimed at broadening students’ academic horizons, enhancing their professional competencies in civil engineering, and strengthening their capacity to compete in the global workforce. It also provides students with opportunities to gain international exposure and adapt to developments in the global construction industry.
Academic-Standard Delegation Selection
To ensure the quality of the students representing Kadiry University, the Faculty of Engineering conducted a comprehensive internal selection process. Each prospective participant first received a recommendation from their academic advisor before undergoing a verification process based on various academic and non-academic criteria.
The requirements included active student status, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.70, no D or E grades in core courses, good English communication skills, as well as discipline, integrity, academic ethics, and strong motivation to study in an international environment.
Through this rigorous selection process, Kadiri University selected four outstanding students to serve as official delegates, namely:

2. Galih Ernita Tata Nugrahini
3. Andalusia Alyssia Mirza Devi
4. Rezky Rahmatullah
The four students will take part in a variety of academic activities at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Built Environment, UTHM, which is known for its modern laboratory facilities, industry-based curriculum, and a learning ecosystem that supports the development of internationally standardized civil engineering competencies.

During the Inbound Mobility program, Kadiri University students participate in learning activities alongside students from various countries who are studying at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. This multicultural academic environment provides a more comprehensive learning experience through cross-perspective discussions, collaborative case study completion, and the development of communication and teamwork skills in an international context. In addition to attending regular lectures, the students also have the opportunity to interact and collaborate directly with UTHM lecturers in various academic activities, including learning projects, practical sessions, and scholarly studies that enrich their competencies in civil engineering.
Not only focused on strengthening academic competencies, this program also features a variety of cultural exchange activities designed to strengthen relationships among students from diverse national and cultural backgrounds. Through these activities, participants are introduced to the richness of Malaysian culture while also having the opportunity to introduce Indonesian culture to the international academic community. This cross-cultural experience is an important added value in shaping students who are adaptable, globally minded, and capable of communicating and building international networks as preparation for facing the dynamics of the professional world in the future.
Through active participation in various international programs, Kadiri University continues to strengthen its role as a higher education institution that adapts to global developments. The Inbound Mobility program at UTHM is expected not only to provide students with cross-border learning experiences, but also to serve as a strategic step in producing Civil Engineering graduates who excel academically and professionally, and who have an international perspective in facing the challenges of the job market and the development of the global construction industry.
